Odoo Marketing

Odoo marketing, set up to produce pipeline

Email, automation, SMS and social all running on the same database as your CRM and your orders, with segmentation built on what customers actually did rather than on an exported list.

See what it costs

Most companies that own Odoo's marketing apps use maybe a tenth of what is there. The newsletter still goes out from a separate tool, to a list exported last quarter; the CRM knows exactly who bought what, but the campaigns have no idea; and nobody can say which email actually produced which order.

The case for marketing inside Odoo is architectural, the same case that applies to the website. Once campaigns, contacts, orders and invoices sit in one database, a segment such as customers who bought one product line but not another, and have gone quiet for ninety days, becomes a filter rather than a data project. And because the click and the order live in the same system, attribution stops being a guess.

We set the apps up the right way, wire up deliverability and tracking, build the first campaigns with your team in the room, and hand you a playbook when we're done, not a dependency.

What the work includes

Email marketing setup
Templates built to match your brand, sender domains authenticated with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, clean list hygiene, and unsubscribe handling that keeps you on the right side of CASL and CAN-SPAM.
Marketing automation
Nurture flows that respond to what a lead actually does, opened, clicked, visited pricing, went quiet, plus lead scoring that hands prospects to sales the moment they warm up, not just because a week went by.
Segmentation on live data
Segments are built from orders, invoices and activity instead of static lists, so the filter updates itself and last quarter's export never makes a comeback.
SMS and social
Used only where they earn their place: SMS for time-sensitive and operational messages, social scheduling from the same calendar as email, and enough restraint to skip whichever channels your audience ignores anyway.
Tracking and attribution
UTMs applied consistently, link trackers on every campaign, GA4 receiving the events, and campaign revenue visible right inside Odoo, because the order itself knows which campaign touched it.
Training and the playbook
After we leave, your team runs the calendar. The playbook spells out segments, templates, send cadence, and the checklist to run through before every campaign goes out.

Why marketing inside the ERP beats a better email tool

Specialist email tools really are good at one thing, sending email. Knowing your customers is not that thing, because your customers actually live in the ERP: what they bought, what they paid, what they returned, when they went quiet. Every specialist tool starts by asking you to sync all of that over, and the sync is exactly where these projects tend to die.

Inside Odoo, there is simply nothing to sync. A campaign reads the very same customer record your sales team writes to, which keeps the segment current and makes attribution native rather than bolted on. That is the whole case, and for most mid-market companies, it outweighs any single feature a specialist tool can offer.

Here is the honest caveat: if your marketing team lives and dies by advanced deliverability tooling, or runs a genuinely complex multi-brand setup, a specialist tool may still be worth keeping. We will tell you plainly which side of that line you fall on during the first call.

What it costs

Setup runs at a fixed scope, domain authentication, templates, the first segments, and two campaigns shipped with your team in the room. Automation flows get quoted per flow instead, since a three-step welcome series and a nine-step reactivation machine are simply not the same job.

We can run your campaigns month to month if you want that, but it is not the default option. The whole setup is designed so that you will not need us afterward.

Odoo marketing, the questions we actually get

  • 01

Can Odoo Email Marketing replace Mailchimp?

For most mid-market B2B companies, yes. Sending, templates, A/B testing and automation are all present, and segmentation actually comes out stronger because it reads live sales data rather than an imported list. Specialist tools still lead on advanced deliverability tooling and a handful of retail-specific flows, and we will tell you honestly if that is where your use case falls.

  • 02

Do we need Marketing Automation or is Email Marketing enough?

Email Marketing handles newsletters and one-off sends. As soon as you want behaviour to drive the next message, think a welcome series, lead scoring, or a win-back for customers who have gone quiet, that is Marketing Automation's job. Most clients start by getting email done properly, then add automation as a second phase.

  • 03

Will our email land in spam?

Not if the foundations are in place: SPF, DKIM and DMARC on the sending domain, a warmed-up sending reputation, clean lists, and unsubscribes honoured the instant they come in. That is the first thing we set up, well before any campaign goes out.

  • 04

    Does this comply with CASL?

Odoo supplies the mechanics, consent fields, unsubscribe links, suppression lists. Compliance itself comes down to a process question, how consent gets captured and recorded, and we build the workflows so that record actually exists. For a legal opinion on your specific practices, though, talk to a lawyer rather than an ERP consultancy.

  • 05

Do you run our campaigns for us?

We can, and a few clients do keep us on a light monthly cadence. But the default runs the other way: we set things up, ship the first campaigns with your team, and hand over a playbook. Depending on an agency is itself a cost, and the whole point of owning the platform is not needing one.
