Partly. Odoo's Shop Floor app gives operators a tablet view of work orders, time, quality checks, and consumption, and the IoT Box captures data from scales, scanners, printers, and simple devices. What Odoo does not match is DELMIAWorks RealTime, its native, plant-wide, real-time machine monitoring purpose-built for high-volume molding and repetitive lines. For many mid-market plants Odoo's capability is sufficient and far cheaper; where real-time machine-level monitoring across a molding floor is the core requirement, DELMIAWorks is the stronger tool and part of what its premium pays for.

Odoo runs general manufacturing well, multi-level BOMs, routings, work centers, scheduling, quality, and lot and serial traceability, and it can be configured for many molding workflows. Odoo's MRP includes multi-level BOMs with routings and work centers, a master production schedule, subcontracting flows, quality control points, equipment maintenance, and PLM for engineering changes, alongside the Shop Floor operator view. It handles discrete, make-to-order, make-to-stock, and much repetitive and process manufacturing well, which is why we score process and repetitive depth a tie. The distinction versus DELMIAWorks is native real-time machine monitoring and industry-specific molding features, not whether Odoo can run manufacturing, it clearly can.

Odoo supports EDI through modules and connectors that can be configured per trading partner, which covers many supply relationships. DELMIAWorks offers more turnkey EDI built specifically around automotive and tier-supplier requirements, release schedules, ASNs, and the compliance those programs demand. If you are a tier supplier where EDI conformance is non-negotiable and constant, DELMIAWorks has an edge out of the box; for more typical EDI needs, Odoo with the right connector is usually sufficient and far less costly overall.
