Odoo Hosting

Odoo hosting run by engineers, not interns

Managed Odoo hosting on Odoo.sh, AWS, Azure, or on-premise, with monitoring, automated backups, and 24/7 on-call included from day one.

Odoo hosting is not just about "where the server runs", it is an operational decision that drives your performance, compliance, backup strategy, and monthly cost. At Octura, we design and operate production Odoo infrastructure on Odoo.sh, AWS, Azure, and on-premise, picking the option that matches your load, your budget, and your data-residency constraints.

Every deployment includes proactive monitoring, automated backups with point-in-time recovery, TLS + OS hardening, PostgreSQL + worker tuning, and a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incidents. You get the upside of an in-house DevOps team without the hiring cost.

Odoo.sh, Odoo Online, or your own cloud?

"Odoo hosting" covers three very different setups. Odoo Online is Odoo SA's SaaS: fast to start and maintenance-free, but with no custom modules and no shell access. Odoo.sh is Odoo's platform-as-a-service: Git-driven deployments, staging branches, automated backups, and full custom-module support, which makes it the default choice for most teams up to about 25 users.

Beyond that point, or when you need strict data residency, heavy integrations, or fine-grained PostgreSQL tuning, a dedicated cloud deployment on AWS, Azure, or GCP (or your own hardware) wins. That is the tier where our engineers add the most value: we design, harden, monitor, and patch the stack, and we carry the pager.

Moving an existing database to new infrastructure is a standard Odoo migration project, and day-2 operations can roll into an Odoo support plan . You can compare every plan side by side on our pricing page .

How we onboard your hosting

From assessment to go-live in two weeks, all while keeping your existing data, your team, and your domain.

01

Step 01

Infrastructure assessment

We start by auditing your current environment, traffic patterns, integrations, and compliance constraints, and from there recommend the right cloud, region, and topology.

02

Step 02

Provisioning & hardening

Servers get provisioned, the OS hardened, TLS issued, firewalls configured, PostgreSQL tuned, workers sized, and your domain wired into place.

03

Step 03

Migration & validation

We migrate your existing database, check every module against a validation checklist, and run a parallel period so you can compare both environments side by side before cutover.

04

Step 04

Cutover & monitoring

Cutover happens on a schedule, with a rollback plan ready if needed. Monitoring, alerting, and the 24/7 on-call rotation all switch on the moment you go live.

What's included in every plan

This is the baseline every production Odoo instance needs, not an upsell.

Automated backups

Daily snapshots with point-in-time recovery, retention tuned to your plan, and restore drills that run every quarter.

Monitoring & alerting

We watch app, database, and infrastructure metrics around the clock, so incidents get caught before your team even logs in.

Patching & upgrades

Security patches go out promptly, and Odoo version upgrades get planned, tested, and rolled out with a rollback path in place.

TLS & DNS management

Free SSL with auto-renewal, DNS records managed from end to end, and HSTS preload available if you need it.

Performance tuning

PostgreSQL configuration, worker count, cron scheduling, and caching all get tuned to your actual workload instead of generic defaults.

Security hardening

OS-level hardening, role-based database access, audit logging, IP allow-listing, and MFA covering the entire admin surface.

Backed by real migrations

Numbers like yours, validated on real migrations

These are three engagements where the projection actually turned into operational reality on Odoo, and the full case studies live on the migration service page.

Hosting FAQ

  • 01

Should I pick Odoo.sh or a dedicated cloud deployment?

For teams under roughly 25 users running standard modules, Odoo.sh is a strong choice: cheap, fast, and backed by Odoo SA itself. Once custom modules, heavy integrations, peak loads, or strict data-residency requirements enter the picture, though, a dedicated AWS, Azure, or GCP stack provides headroom and controls that Odoo.sh simply cannot match.

  • 02

Can you host an existing Odoo deployment, or only new ones?

Both, actually. Most of our hosting clients come to us migrating from another provider or from on-prem. We audit the current setup, plan a migration window with no downtime, run a parallel validation period, and only then cut over, rollback plan in hand.

  • 03

    Where does my data live?

That is entirely your call. We deploy to US, Canada (ca-central-1), EU, or APAC regions, and can keep data inside your jurisdiction for its entire lifecycle, with primary, replica, and backups all staying in-region. For stricter requirements, on-premise and sovereign-cloud options are also available.

  • 04

What's your uptime SLA and on-call response?

Cloud Pro and On-Premise plans come with a 99.95% uptime SLA and 24/7 on-call coverage for P0 (full outage) and P1 (degraded) incidents, with P0 response arriving in under 15 minutes. Cloud Starter runs on a best-effort basis with business-hours support, and we publish status updates and incident post-mortems for both tiers.

What is the difference between Odoo.sh, Odoo Online, and self-managed hosting?

Odoo Online (SaaS) is the simplest option: no custom modules, no shell access, entirely managed by Odoo SA. Odoo.sh is Odoo's own PaaS, offering Git-based deployments, staging branches, and full support for custom modules, and it works well up to roughly 25 users. Self-managed Odoo hosting on AWS, Azure, GCP, or your own hardware hands you complete control over PostgreSQL tuning, data residency, and integrations, but it demands a DevOps team, which happens to be exactly the part we take off your plate.
