Odoo Knowledge
Odoo Knowledge is an internal wiki tied directly to your operational data. Hierarchical articles, rich embeds of Odoo records (orders, opportunities, projects), version history, and search across everything. Best for teams documenting SOPs, runbooks, and onboarding guides that would otherwise live in Confluence or Notion.

Top features
Hierarchical article tree
Organize articles in a folder-style tree per workspace. Drag-and-drop reorganization, breadcrumbs, and pinned favorites in the sidebar.
Embedded Odoo records
Embed live views of opportunities, sales orders, projects, contacts, and reports inside articles. Filters update when the underlying Odoo data changes.
Rich text + structured blocks
Headings, lists, tables, callouts, code blocks, image galleries, and toggles. Templates speed up repetitive document creation.
Version history and restore
Every edit creates a version. Compare two versions side by side and restore any prior state with one click.
Granular sharing
Per-article read or read-write permissions, by user or group. Public link sharing with optional password for external collaborators.
Workspace search
Full-text search across all articles, with filters by author, tag, workspace, and last-modified date. Results highlight matched terms in context.
Inline collaboration
Mentions notify teammates via Odoo Discuss. Comments thread inline. Real-time presence shows who is reading or editing the article.
Templates and snippets
Reusable article templates for onboarding plans, runbooks, retro notes, and post-mortems. Save selections as snippets for future use.
Representative use cases
Customer-facing SOPs
Customer-service team writes troubleshooting articles inside Knowledge, each linked to the Helpdesk ticket types it resolves. Agents jump from a ticket to the matching article with two clicks. Article-view counts surface which docs are working.
Engineering runbooks
Ops team documents recovery procedures with embedded production records and live monitoring screenshots. New hires walk through the runbook tree during onboarding instead of digging through Slack archives.
Finance month-end close
Controller maintains the month-end checklist as a Knowledge article with embedded report views. Each step links to the Odoo record that proves the step ran. Audit trail is the article version history itself.

01Can Odoo Knowledge replace Confluence or Notion?
For teams already on Odoo, yes. The big win is embedded live Odoo records, an article about a customer can show that customer's open orders and tickets without copy-paste. Confluence and Notion are deeper for standalone documentation work; Knowledge is deeper when documentation lives next to operations.
02Does Knowledge have version history?
Yes. Every save creates a version. You can diff two versions and restore any prior state. Comments and mentions are preserved across versions.
03Can we share Knowledge articles with people outside the company?
Yes, via signed public links with optional passwords and link expiry. For deeper external collaboration, give the external party a portal user (free) with read-only access to the workspace.
04Is Knowledge included in our Odoo subscription?
It is included in the Custom plan ($37.40/user/mo) but not in the Standard plan ($24.90/user/mo). For most teams adopting Knowledge alongside CRM, Helpdesk, or Project, Custom is already the right tier.
