About the role

You sit at the intersection of sales, engineering, and client operations. Discovery workshops, solution blueprints, module selection, integration architecture, and delivery oversight for mid-market implementations (25-250 users). Success looks like: fewer scope surprises, fewer custom modules, more standard-Odoo wins, and clients who stay on support contracts past year two.

What you'll do

  • Lead discovery workshops with client stakeholders — map current-state processes, expose gaps, align on business outcomes
  • Produce solution blueprints that document module scope, integration points, data migration plan, and go-live sequencing
  • Make the standard-vs-custom call for each workflow, documenting the reasoning so future engineers don't second-guess it
  • Partner with technical leads on integration architecture — API choices, webhook patterns, idempotency guarantees
  • Oversee delivery across 3-5 concurrent implementations, removing blockers and escalating risk to leadership
  • Own data migration strategy: chart-of-accounts mapping, customer/vendor consolidation, opening balances, parallel run
  • Run weekly client steering committees — honest status, risks, decisions needed
  • Contribute to pre-sales: scoping estimates, proposal architecture sections, competitive framing vs NetSuite / SAP B1 / Dynamics
  • Shape Octura's delivery playbooks — discovery templates, blueprint structure, gate criteria between phases
  • Coach functional analysts and junior PMs on process-mapping, requirements elicitation, and client negotiation

What we're looking for

  • 7+ years delivering ERP implementations, including 4+ leading Odoo projects end-to-end
  • Proven track record on mid-market (25-250 user) scope — not just SMB quick-start or enterprise program management
  • Fluent in Odoo's standard module coverage — know what ships natively, what OCA covers, and what needs custom work
  • Strong financial-operations literacy: accrual accounting, multi-entity, multi-currency, revenue recognition, tax
  • Can draft an integration architecture doc without engineering support (sequence diagrams, failure modes, SLAs)
  • Excellent written English for client-facing solution docs and steering-committee summaries
  • Comfort running contentious conversations — scope disputes, change-control pushback, executive escalations
  • Remote-first work habits and calm under ambiguity — not every client arrives with a clean brief

Nice to have

  • Odoo v17, v18, or v19 official certification
  • French-Canadian fluency for Quebec implementations
  • Prior consulting background with NetSuite, SAP Business One, Sage Intacct, or Dynamics 365
  • Experience building out a delivery practice from 5 to 20+ consultants
